Ladies Into Purchasing Stock, LIPS, established in 1992, is a ladies buying group at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ (HLS&R™). Our mission is to raise money to support the youth of Texas in their educational, agricultural, and artistic endeavors. Our goal is to make every child feel as if they are a grand champion winner.
LIPS is a 501(c)(3) organization in which contributions/donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Funds raised, less expenses, are given back to the HLS&R™ through their various programs.
Since its inception, LIPS has raised almost $3 million through yearly fundraising events. Because of these outstanding efforts, LIPS is proud to be one of the original members, and the first buyers group, to reach the $1 million mark of the HLS&R™ Silver Spur Club.

January Auction – We kick off our rodeo season on the second Wednesday of January. This is our largest moneymaking event of the year, which includes a silent auction, live auction, games and other fun events.
Crawfish Boil – Held the last Saturday in April, kicking off the new year of fundraising. Along with all you can eat crawfish,this event includes a live auction, bake sale and big board auction.
Cornhole Tournament - New and exciting fundraiser! 1st Annual LIPS Cornhole Tournament. Each team guaranteed two games. Entry includes dinner and snacks. Team prizes, fun & more!

Raffle Tickets – Our raffle includes 8 - 10 fabulous raffle items. Tickets are distributed to the membership prior to the beginning of the rodeo season. The drawing is held during the Crawfish Boil.
Friends of LIPS Banners – Donors are able to purchase a banner printed with their logo and/or advertising information to be displayed for a full year at each of our events. Banners are renewable annually.
