Who We Are:
Ladies Into Purchasing Stock (LIPS) is a ladies buyers group at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™. Our mission is to raise money to support the youth of Texas in their agricultural and artistic endeavors. Our goal is to make every child feel as if they are a Grand Champion Winner.

LIPS was created in1992 by a group of women desiring to become more involved in the life of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™. For the last 18 years, LIPS has raised more than $1.2 million. LIPS is made up of approximately 100 ladies who are hard working, active members of 30 different Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ committees as well as moms, professionals and community volunteers.

To achieve our yearly goals, fund-raising activities are held year-round. The largest event is the LIPS Auction held every January. This event is a party which includes live and silent auctions, live Texas music, and competitions. The featured event is the auctioning of the title "Mr. LIPS". After rodeo season is over, we continue to hold events throughout the year to raise money. These events include a crawfish boil, merchandise sales, raffle, bike ride, etc.
 
LIPS is a 501(c)3 organization in which all contributions/donations are tax-deductible allowed by law. 100% of all money raised by LIPS is given back to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ through various programs.
Who We Support:
All proceeds are spent/contributed to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™, where LIPS has become one of the top buyers groups. LIPS participates in four junior market auctions - lamb and goat, steer, poutry, and swine. Each animal auctioned off is raised and shown by a Texas student, and the money that is spent on his/her animal goes towards the scholarship of that student.
 
Other support given to Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ committees includes: AgMechanics, Calf Scramble Donor, Souvenir Program Ads, Corral Club, Carnival Ticket Sales, Ladies Season Box, Llama Committee, and School Art Auction.
